BC-TNI SAC at PMPP TNI

British Council (BC) had given a kind of collaboration between English language laboratory and English books library called Self Access Center (SAC) to Indonesian National Defence Force (TNI) through Peacekeeping Center (PMPP), it's completed by 21 PCs with interactive software and programs for English language proficiency and improvement, and all PCs connected into local network for teaching and learning activity interactively, but the other important part is the library itself that has various good english learning books, peacekeeping english and military books for support the users. Why SAC ? because it has philosophy that the user could have access to all facility in the SAC to improve their english proficiency, including use the PC or and borrows the books freely without any pressure and doubt, and its also free for anyone who will to enter and use it, not only military personnel but also civilian. So, it hope that SAC can be the center of english proficiency in TNI generally and PMPP particularly for prepare personnel who will carry out peacekeeping mission or related activity.
The handover of SAC was held on Friday the 8th July 2011 at PMPP TNI meeting room between (from) British Defence Attache Colonel Philip James Thorpe from Embassy of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Jakarta, and (to) Deputy Assistant Operation to Commander in Chief of INDF First Admiral TNI Agus Purwoto from Indonesian National Defence Force HQ (Mabes TNI). Now SAC is operational under supervision and control of Training Directorate and can be used by anyone, it placed on 2nd floor of PMPP TNI HQ on the other side of administrative and internal affairs office (Taud).
